- Hi all. Happy to be among others that are living with diabetes and not dying from it. Im so tired of pessimistic specialists telling me all the cons but non of the pros. I was told in 1987 i would not live past the age of 20 and if i did i would have no legs and be blind. HA! Thankfully clinics have adopted a holistic approach to us now. I am actually alot healthier than my non diabetic pals, that says something. After 22 years of juvenile diabetes and 5 years of coeliac disease i have found a wierd sort of harmony that is actually a great way to live.
