Thanks so much, Bob. My doctor said the main reason he recommended it for me is to help with appetite reduction. He said it does help cut down on blood sugar spikes after eating, but I've mostly figured out how to deal with those via insulin and foo…

I have heard mostly positive things on Symlin. Did he give you a good reason. Mostly what I understand it is for reduced appetite so as to lose weight or reduce insulin needs as food intake is reduced. I always try to dodge any medications if I can,…

I'm not sure if this is the place to start this discussion, but I wanted to ask if anyone has tried/used Symlin, and what you think, please? I saw my endocrinologist today, and he said it's great, and gave me a prescription. I'd like to learn more b…

Thanks so much, Linda! That's very helpful. I almost walk into doorways without anything extra getting in the way, so that's good to know about using the outside of arms, too. :-) Gosh, I've never heard of an allery to insulin... That must have been…

I've been considering an Omnipod, and got a dummy pod to try it out. I've been on a Minimed pump for 10 years, and am very attached to it. I love the idea of being "tubeless" though. My only concerns are the size of the pod, and lost insulin at the…
