I understand what you are saying and for me the fear of needles has not gone away after about thirty four years, I like the MDI routine because I inject and walk away until the next one, I am proud to see you are getting a handle on it and have a Doc you trust a bit more because that is important.

Baby steps is the way to go some may say 176 is high but at least it's under 200 and for me that was the first step to maintain numbers under 200 then adjust from there, I still make mistakes and deal with highs and lows but this is just a part of the condition, in my mind it's not realistic to stay at the perfect number all the time reality and life just wont let us do this or else we wouldn't be diabetic.

Nope you are not a Bad person you are someone who is taking control of your condition and not allowing it to bring you down, "I Have Diabetes It Doesn't Have Me" with this attitude you are going to do well.

Great attitude Melissa. I absolutely agree with you. Insulin is often a final step in the progress of a type 2....it is not unusual to go on insulin after having type 2 for some time. Jeesh, I hope being on insulin doesn't make someone bad,,,,,cause I've been terrible for over 45 years...lol. I am glad to hear that you are gaining on it. As you continue to understand the effects of insulin on your body, things will get easier. Like I said before, stay close to your monitor as you figure this thing out. Time will make it all make more sense, and give you more confidence in you management of the D. Hang in there, and keep thinking right.....:)
